  1. Full-time Optometric Technician (split between both offices)
  2. Full-time Optometric Assistant    (Salem)

We will be opening our new location in Harrisville in the late spring/early summer 2022.

Employee must be a TEAM PLAYER who is responsible for their own work and requires minimal supervision. Due to the nature of our mission, low employee turnover is necessary. This position is a fast paced one which necessitates the need for excellent communication skills. Due to the ever growing use of technology in eye care, especially computer based technology, basic COMPUTER LITERACY IS REQUIRED. It is also very important that your work be done efficiently and without error. COMFORT WITH MATH IS ESSENTIAL. Although experience does count, previous health care, optical, and/or office experience is not necessary. OUR LOCATIONS

From time to time, we hire additional staff members specifically for one of our two office locations. Individuals with the flexibility to work at either facility is an asset but not a requirement unless posted as such in the specific job description. Our staff is comprised of both part-time and full-time positions.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

After receiving your information, candidates may be invited to complete an electronic application. Next, select applicants are invited to an interview with one or two of our staff. Subsequently, a second skills based interview can follow. The final step for candidates progressing can be a shadow session during which you spend time with a designated mentor and witness your position in action.

CURRENT FULL TIME POSITIONS

SALEM / HARRISVILLE   – OPTOMETRIC TECHNICIAN – full time – approximately 35-40 hours per week which includes one Saturday per month. This position is involved primarily with screening patients for examination by our doctor and including the use of specialized equipment.
